Fighting for Northeast Wisconsin

Surging Support to Hospitals and Healthcare Systems

Rep. Gallagher has fought to deliver more than $100 billion for hospitals and healthcare systems across the country that can help expand testing capacity, support the development of a vaccine, and help purchase PPE and other medical equipment.

Providing Assistance to the  Most Vulnerable

The CARES Act, which was passed with Rep. Gallagher's support, provided individuals and families meeting certain criteria with economic assistance payments. It also provided a temporary boost in unemployment insurance during the worst of the crisis.

Delivering Relief for Small Businesses

Rep. Gallagher voted to create and extend the Paycheck Protection Program to give small businesses a lifeline to get through this crisis. He also joined an effort that would force a vote on legislation to reauthorize the program and has called for the House to cancel the October recess and vote on this relief.

Increasing Aid for Farmers

Rep. Gallagher fought to ensure that eligible farmers would be included in the Paycheck Protection Program and called on the Administration to include more funding for the Milk Donation Reimbursement Program to support Dairy farmers and deliver nutritious products to food pantries.

Working to Expand Telehealth Services

Telehealth services have allowed individuals to continue receiving medical advice while limiting their exposure to this virus. Rep. Gallagher has worked to make access to Telehealth more permanent and helped secure a million-dollar grant to support telehealth infrastructure in Northeast Wisconsin.

Securing Masks and PPE

In coordination with the Taiwanese Embassy, Rep. Gallagher secured 100,000 masks for the state of Wisconsin to help address PPE shortages in hospitals across the state. He also partnered with Brown County Public Health to create a PPE drive that received nearly 30,000 gloves, more than 30 masks, and approximately 150 protective suits and gowns.
